Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery in which individuals are exploited through force, fraud, or coercion for labor or commercial sex. It affects men, women, and children of all backgrounds β and it happens in every state across the U.S.

- They show signs of physical abuse, malnourishment, or exhaustion
- They live and work in the same location with many others in poor conditions
- They are not allowed to speak freely or be alone
- A minor is with an adult who is not their parent or guardian and the relationship seems inappropriate
