Support Services for Children and Teens Rescued from Human Trafficking

Who Do You See?

A survivor. A future. A life transformed.

Human traffickers do not see the humanity of each person they target. They only see a commodity that can be sold repeatedly until they cannot meet their unrelenting demands.

The Queen’s Corner’s staff, board members, and supporters instead see them as a precious princess or prince deserving to be treated with dignity, respect, love, and protection. We envision them growing up blessed, filled with joy and laughter, enjoying the best possible health and peace.
Sometimes, we catch a glimpse of the women, or men they can become—confident, thriving, dreaming freely, using their unique gifts and talents, and walking in the purpose and hope that God has planned for them beyond what we can imagine.

Life After Rescue or Escape

Freedom from trafficking is only the beginning of a complex journey.

After rescue or escape, children and teens face physical, emotional, and psychological challenges that require ongoing, compassionate care.

At The Queen's Corner, we provide survivors with the comprehensive support they need to heal and rebuild their lives, including:

  • Trauma-informed counseling and mental health services
  • Safe, stable housing environments
  • Access to healthcare and education
  • Life skills and vocational training to foster independence

Your support transforms lives by giving survivors the tools and hope they need to create a new future — one defined not by their past, but by their resilience and potential.

Yes, human trafficking is a reality in Ohio

Human trafficking can happen anywhere. Victims are often taken or lured from one part of the U.S. or even another country and transported to buyers or accomplices. Social media is filled with reports of missing children—many of whom may be trafficked or at risk.

Ohio’s northern counties, between Cleveland and Toledo, are known hotspots for traffickers. The area’s extensive highways, ports, and airports make it easier for criminals to move victims across the U.S., into Canada, and beyond—if they can avoid law enforcement.

As awareness of trafficking increases nationwide, local, state, and federal officials, law enforcement, courts, social services, survivors, faith groups, and community members in our region are joining forces to strengthen resources and fight child trafficking together.
